Questions from Partners… Can OmniNet be used inside an existing setup?
Preferably the entire network will be protected behind the OmniShield by OmniNet.
Sometimes, however, a Third Party is managing the network and this cannot be done.
In this case, one of the simplest workarounds is to have a VLAN configured in the existing network dedicated to the OmniNet service.
Whether it’s a Cisco, UniFi, Pakedge, etc., system if the existing network administrator can add a VLAN, the OBR can route and protect the traffic within the VLAN.
This can work exceptionally well if using the Home Office Extension, or securing a home office.
